In the opinion of the LAJs, what is needed is less triumphalism and more modesty and better planning . "The balance indicated by the Ministry of Justice in a press release is about 4,778 million euros, it is almost the same as before the strike, which shows that the LAJS, without the need for action plans, have put the day the pending judicial payments for the benefits of citizens, otherwise the amount could be above 5.5 billion.”
For his part , Carlos Artal, lawyer of the Administration of Justice in the Investigative Court number 9 of Zaragoza, who is also part of the Progressive Union of Judicial Secretaries Fax Lists (UPSJ) and is a member of the LAJs strike committee, emphasizes that “ One more bureaucracy has been introduced in the payment orders that are for personal use and we have to enter 200 digits that they ask us to be individualized. It is something that generates more delay and we do not really see the usefulness of it.”
Another issue that this lawyer points out is that “on many occasions they send us the circular of a new development in the consignment accounts but they do not tell us how to implement it. Without having implemented any Recovery Plan, there is a lot of money pending in the courts and when there is a strike it must be implemented. This time is the first time that nothing has been done, this generates many dysfunctions in the courts, especially in the civil jurisdiction.”
From his point of view, “without these Recovery Plans, pending payments cannot be expedited. We cannot forget that in the big cities there were already courts that were always clogged. With a program of this type, the movement of these amounts in the courts could be greatly improved, but for the moment the Ministry continues not to comply with our salary agreement, ignoring our requests."
